here are some tips to choose a real hand-made batik.
- Normally a hand-made batik‘s patterns are not exactly similar.The
designs or pictures are asymmetrical (some are big, some are small).
- If we turn a hand-made batik material upside down, it’s pattern can
be seen quite clear.
- A hand-made batik normally smells fragrant because of the batik making -
process . The batik making process used special roots, leaves, or woods to
color the materials. They produce specific fragrance.
- The material used for hand-made batik is heavier than other kinds of batik.
- The more complicated and the smaller patterns indicate the better quality
and the more expensive one.

from Pekalongan. The price is about US$ 150. We can see the pattern upside down.
The material is hand woven cotton from Jepara. A bit thick compare to my other
collections , also it smells nice. ( owner )
